Good to know about books for ages 3–5

What books are good for ages 3 to 5?

Phonics readers and Level 1 to 5 picture books: short illustrated books of about 40 to 1,500 story words. Every book shows its age range under its title, so you can find one that fits your child.

How do ages and reading levels fit together?

Ages say who a book is written for; levels say how long and detailed it is. Phonics through Level 5 suit ages 3 to 5, and Levels 5 to 7 suit ages 6 to 8, so Level 5 works for both. Every child is different, so try a free sneak peek first.

Will Wonder Teller read to my child?

Yes. Phonics readers and picture books are read aloud while each sentence lights up, so your child can follow a book before reading it alone. They can tap any word for a child-friendly explanation. The free sneak peek is silent.

Can we read these books for free?
