Good to know about interactive books
What is a Try it activity?
A small hands-on activity at the end of a page. After your child opens every numbered detail, Try it turns the page’s idea into something to move and watch, like steering an airplane with sliders. Show me plays a short demonstration, and Start over puts everything back, so there’s no wrong move.
Who are interactive books for?
Curious readers who like to know how things work. They are illustrated explainers, like the books on the Discovery shelf: one big picture per page with numbered details, each explained in plain words. Every book shows its age range under its title, so you can find one that fits your child.
Can we try an activity before signing up?
Yes. Most interactive books show one of their Try it activities on their own page in the library, ready to play, and every book’s free sneak peek opens its first pages. No account is needed for either.
Can we read these books for free?
Every book opens with a free sneak peek of its first pages, no account needed. A free Wonder Teller account, with no card required, reads every Free-trial book in full. Basic and Premium plans unlock more of the library, and Premium unlocks every book.
