The day grew slow and soft. The sky turned peach, then pink, then dusky purple. One by one the meadow sounds grew quiet. Momo yawned. It was almost, almost time for bed.
Inside the den, Momo had a warm supper of berries and sweet, sleepy milk. He wiped his paws and brushed his fur until it was soft and neat. Bedtime was coming, slow and cozy and kind.
